Joelle and James truly made our stay unforgettable. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about both the hotel and the surrounding area, and always willing to help and give recommendations for things to do in town. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and the overall atmosphere of the property. The food at the Good Sport restaurant was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared, and the ambiance felt cozy and romantic. We also dined at Birch & Bloom multiple times, and both the breakfast and dinner options were exquisite. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, but what stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality from Joelle and James. So many reasons to stay here||The location is on grounds for easy access. Parking allows in and out access making it easy for day trips and dinner in the area.||The staff are friendly and very attentive. Shout out to Amara at the front desk who was great.||Valet parking is convenient and easy to use.||The room is modern, well lit and very spacious. We appreciated the comfortable robes, the Bluetooth speaker, the automatic shades and dark out curtains and the huge bathroom and shower.||Breakfast offered huge portions and a varied menu. The bar was comfortable and lively.||If you consider the hotel, check your status with IHG and Chase Reserve for extra benefits.

My husband and I stayed at the Kimpton Forum Hotel, Charlottesville, for two nights to celebrate my birthday. The location is right downtown and close enough to walk to several restaurants, shops, etc. The parking is valet only (costs $27 per night) and includes in/out privileges. We never waited longer than 10 minutes for our car to be brought to us. There is a public parking garage about a 15-minute walk away, but since the weather was cold and rainy, we opted for the valet parking. The hotel lobby is very nice, with a bar, lots of seating with beautiful views of the UVA campus, two fireplaces, the Good Sport Sports Bar with drinks & classic pub fare (open for lunch every day of the week, and open for dinner, Thursday-Sunday) and the Birch & Bloom, which is a full-service restaurant

Absolutely brilliant. We ended up here without a reservation at 10 PM on Valentine’s Day weekend after an Airbnb mishap involving an uninvited squirrel. The front desk was very accommodating and we were in a room a few minutes later. It only got better from there. First, the hotel is quite new and very beautiful. It’s in great shape. Second, the staff and service were top notch. We’ve never received such fast (and hot) room service. And finally, they are so dog-friendly! There’s not even an extra fee and apparently if you actually have a reservation, they’ve got dog bowls ready in your room when you arrive.
