Hollymead House Bed and Breakfast

I had a wonderful stay here- the rooms are gorgeous and well decorated and Pam and William are lovely people that were very accommodating to my trip needs. Breakfast was delicious and it really felt like I was eating in my own home rather than a strange place. The common spaces in the main house are chaming and provide opportunities to sit and read in front of a fireplace or to mingle with others. Very convenient location to Charlottesville without having to deal with the traffic. Will be coming back for another stay.

What a wonderful place to stay — charming, historic, and just a bit off the beaten path. It holds a special place in our hearts, as we stayed here long ago when it was the Silver Thatch Inn. The updates have made it feel even more authentic and welcoming while preserving its historic character. Our room was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and we loved being close enough to Charlottesville to explore but far enough to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.

What a truly lovely experience. My wife and I spent my birthday at this beautiful historic estate, and it could not have been more special. The innkeepers are an absolutely delightful couple who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with wine and a thoughtfully prepared cheese board, followed by a tour of the home and its rich history. We spent the afternoon cozied up by the fireplace, reading and soaking in the peaceful snowfall. The next morning, we were treated to a wonderful homemade breakfast that was both delicious and beautifully presented. Our dietary needs were graciously accommodated, and the innkeepers offered great suggestions for nearby activities. Every detail felt intentional and heartfelt. We had a wonderful time at the Hollymead House Bed and Breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and filling.
