Hyatt Place Charlottesville

Booked three rooms - pleased were given adjoining rooms, and another room on same floor. Thank you for meeting that request!||||Rooms were spacious and suited our purposes, nothing fancy and will need to be renewed in a few years. One adjoining room door stopper did not work; there was a stink bug on the ceiling; one room had a microwave while one didn't.||||Training room was good, and the indoor pool looked well maintained. ||||Lobby area for breakfast was large.

Room was fairly clean but could have been better maintained as it was looking a bit worn out. Beds were lumpy and not comfortable at all. Worst part was the hotel was under construction when we were there. We were not informed of this when we booked our room or would have chosen a different hotel. We went to dinner to come back to a letter on our door stating the elevators woudn't be working the next day from 9AM to 6PM. We're old folks on the 3rd floor, not fun dealing with stairs and lugage anymore. Plus when we arrived and it was working the elevator was lined with dirty pading to protect the walls, it wasn't a clean space. Again, not mentioned when we booked our room. So very poor information provided by the staff when we booked. You would have thought the least they would of done was

Positive: The staff was attentive, kind, professional and customer centered. Negative: The room had a leaky faucet but the room was very clean.

Amazing customer service by Shalayah and April. Traveling with my disabled mother and both ladies went above and beyond to ensure the room accommodated my mother's needs. The hotel is nice and we felt safe. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus too. We'll stay here again everytime we visit the area!

The hotel was nice and clean, with plenty of parking and a convenient location. The room was a good size and generally comfortable. The bed mattress was a bit lumpy, though still manageable. Breakfast was available, but we didn’t get a chance to try it. The swimming pool is on the smaller side, but it would probably be great for children.
