Cost-cutting Hotel The property is under new ownership and is totally different. No longer a bnb. But they’re still benefitting from old reviews that no longer apply. They cut corners at every opportunity. Individually these might sound nitpicky, but taken together they really define your stay. - Room is too cold. Shower doesn’t get hot enough, and I’m not even a hot showerer. - Room is super, super small. Maybe half the size of standard hotel. - Very thin walls that don’t block any sound. - I was woken up by a beeping noise at 5am despite being a heavy sleeper. After waiting hoping it’d stop, finally decided to investigate. Turns out somebody had left the fridge outside my unit open. - No room turn down. No tissues. - Overly complicated entrance procedure - and nobody on premises to he

SO THRILLED! You never know what you're going to get. But this place meets or beats expectations! I'm picky about bed linens and towels, and they outed themselves and were generous with extra blankets and extra towels in the room. It was beautiful to spend a couple of days here. We don't want to leave. we immediately sent pictures to our adult children so that we can all organize a long weekend together at this beautiful home with pool and outdoor fire area. Just stunning!

Have been staying here for years and loved the quaintness of the property. This year, everything changed. No more homieness bit total automation. In some cases good, but lacks the true b and b experience which brought us here in the first place. In addition, as I mentioned, everything is automated sonifbyiu have a problem, you have to call an 800#. We had an issue with internet on our first night. I’m kit a complainer by nature and tried to work it out for 45 minutes before I resorted to calling the number. The person answering my call was really good and fixed my issue but for $500 a night, don’t need to have an issue with internet? They have internet in Sudan for crying out loud! This is a nice place to stay. It has changed a lot from what it used to be. It's very impersonal and lost quite a bit of its charm. It used to be one of our favorite places to stay.

This place is fantastic. The staff are lovely and the rooms are gorgeous. I even had a little footstool for my teddy bear. The breakfast was great. Real food, not like many hotel breakfasts. And the wine and cheese in the library as delightful. I left a necklace in the room I was in, so contacted the hotel later that day. They found it and mailed it to me promptly. I've been back for only a week (I live in another country) and the necklace was in my mailbox today. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat.
