Sleep Inn & Suites Monticello

Stayed here due to a medical appointment at the hospital nearby. Located with quick access to downtown, easy access to Monticello. Several nearby gas stations, fast food and restaurants. Good breakfast selection too.Only negative is that I asked front desk before making reservation if the pool was open and was assured it was. When I received the reminder prior to arrival I saw that the pool was closing a few days before our arrival. Not sure where the breakdown in communication happened.

Trip to UVA medical facility. Good price from hotel. Near 2 gas stations, Domino's ,Chinese, and Mexican food. There is a pool and hot tub, but closed Jan to early June. Decent breakfast bar, room was nice and clean. Staff helpful

Positive: We have stayed here a lot this year as we cleaned out our parents home. The staff is always friendly and realized on our first visit we liked the top floor. Since then we always get a top floor room. Everyone is friendly and helpful Negative: No, the hot tub has been broken forever, but that was okay. It is just hard to get out of the hotel if you need to go left on 5th street.

Positive: The front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked with a variety of items. The bed was comfortable and the room was dark enough. We could control the room temperature. Negative: We were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, but it was not working. We decided not to get in the pool because, according to the information posted, the chemical levels had not been checked (or at least not updated) for 4 days.

Great location to be within 10-20 minutes of so many attractions, great restaurants and shopping! Comfortable beds! Accommodating and friendly staff! Def needs an update to rooms and entire interior including electric outlets, bath fan and lighting. AC/heat system worked well. Gym smells very musty and is small only accommodates 2 people at a time. Breakfast staff was stellar! Kept on top Of depleted items with quick refills. Overall a good experience!
