Sleep Inn Amherst - Buffalo North near University

Excellent service. The front Desk staff was welcoming, caring, efficient & friendly. I was taking care of family member after Cancer surgery & staff asked every day how my sister was feeling. My room was extremely clean, bed was very comfy & the cleaning staff was warm & kind. Hotel was located perfectly near freeways, stores & gas stations. Wide variety of yummy hot & cold foods in Breakfast Room. Good security to building.

Everyone I interacted with, from Amanda at the front desk to maintenance and other staff were very welcoming, hospitable and just sincerely nice. This was my second time staying at a Sleep Inn and both times were great. Everything was clean, bed comfortable and the complimentary soap did not dry out my skin and near local transportation when I needed it. The only drawback for me was that I wished they had some gluten-free options other than eggs for the complimentary breakfast. The Sleep Inn will always be my go-to when traveling here.

We have been coming here for the last 5 years and this is the only place we stay when in the area. Breakfast is a huge plus, hot tub and pool are relaxing, and the staff is great! We have a favorite employee ...Lorne...he is the most accommodating, pleasant, attentive employee of a hotel that we have ever dealt with. Even when he is busy checking people in he he always acknowledges people coming in and out. Lorne is a special employee and we look forward to seeing him...and he knows me by name! He is a valuable employee to this property!

Overall, my stay was awesome and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The room was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient and made getting around easy. However, the biggest downside was that the room thermostat did not work. The room became uncomfortably hot, which made it very difficult to sleep and honestly made the night miserable. That was a major issue and something the hotel should address. Aside from that, the stay was okay, but fixing the temperature control would make a big difference.

My two children and I celebrated Christmas this past weekend Dec 20-21 At the Sleep Inn. I dragged all of our presence and even a little Christmas tree to this hotel! Our first impressions was that it was very clean, and very welcoming. Amanda at the front desk was by far the kindest person we have ever come across at any hotel that I have stayed in. She answered all of my questions, and was very helpful and explained everything to us such as breakfast times swimming pool times etc. Our room was very clean and I had a minor mishap with the heating, but I'm pretty sure that was my own ignorance.
