I have been dreaming about time off from work for 3 years, I am so disappointed that I blew my once-a-decade chance on staying here. I spent the whole time scrubbing dog urine off the floors and baseboards. The shower was unusable, it was so ruined by human urine that I didnt even want to rinse my feet off in there. I would have cleaned it myself but i would need professional grade enzyme solvent and equipment. The AC didnt work, the lock on the front door didnt work, and there was no washer/ dryer as advertised. It was so dirty we had to leave to find somewhere else to shower. Ive spent more time scrubbing urine and packing to leave than anything else. Worst of all, theyre saying we might not even get our money back- so not only did we waste money staying in this filthy house, we had to s

I spent a lot of time scrubbing dog urine off the floors and baseboards. The shower has so much human urine in it that I didnt even want to rinse my feet. I would have tried to clean it myself but unlike the dog urine, the shower would have needed professional enzyme solvent and equipment. I can see why so many of the homes are for sale, Vacasa doesnt treat guests or owners well. I feel bad for the owners because the space itself was really cute, it's just horribly managed. The AC did not work, and there was no W/D despite the listing promising a W/D. I haven't had a vacation in 3 years and I am so, so disappointed. It would have been less stressful to just stay home. We couldn't even get a refund, we had to spend even more money on a hotel just so we could shower. It will be years before

This trip was a nightmare from start to finish. The unit 4 had booked had a broken electronic lock so we stood out in the dark waiting for property management company vacasa to give us access. They sent is a code to a hide a key box and we were able to access the place. Upon entering our dog started acting crazy and we realized there was dog urine all over the baseboards. My friend cleaned them. The ac unit was leaking and we didn't want to be held responsible for water damage.... the property management company said they would notify the owners but nobody came to help. Our last straw was trying to shower after the beach and discovering someone had been using the bathtub as their own personal urinal. Admittedly, it was a cute rental. However, it was horribly managed and cared for.

I wish I could give three and a half stars. This was a nice cottage for what we needed for our vacation to Maine. When we arrived and checked in we noticed a split unit AC unit and a window unit, after searching for the split unit remote and finding out the unit doesnt work we contacted the support team who insisted that it did work. The next day we got a call that it was supposed to be fixed and wasnt. They came in and took out the window unit and put in a different type of AC unit, they didnt close the window after removing the old AC unit. The communication was lacking. The kitchen and bathroom were nicely redone. The bed however was severely lacking, there was a make shift murphy bed frame built out of plywood that was quite uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall it was a nice stay but th

We were only in the area for a night, but we enjoyed our stay at Shorelands Guest Resort. We arrived later in the evening, after reception was closed, but the host had left our key and good information to locate our room. We met the owner in the morning, and she was very friendly and accommodating. ||||We had a small room located just to the right of the office. It was a 2 story house broken up into single bedroom units. The room was small, without much room for our luggage, but since we weren't spending much time there, it was fine. There are other options that are individual cottages, and they are probably more spacious if you are staying for a while. ||||The location was great for us, since we wanted to take a walk at the Rachel Carson Wildlife Management Area early in the morning.
