Seaside Inn

First time in Maine (December2025) and we stayed here for 3 days. The view is gorgeous. As California native I have never seen snow on the beach and it was amazing to me to experience that! Breakfast was provided and while light (muffins, coffee, hard-boiled eggs) its nice to have an extra energy boost to start the day. The staff is friendly, and during the winter the atmosphere was very quiet. It is very old so its quite dated (I like that but I know not everyone does), but its very cool to be part of Maine history. Its only about an hour from Portland, and 15-20 mins from downtown Kennebunkport. Even in winter the room was very warm and toasty, and we were very comfortable without needed extra blankets. I definitely recommend Seaside Inn!

I booked the Seaside for a night a few days after Christmas to meet-up with an old friend in Kennebunkport. The rate was great, even for off-season. The young woman at the front desk was very personable. The location is perfect- within walking distance of the village but off the main road and on the beach! A short walk along the sandy beach and you are at the edge of the water. The room was very clean, if a bit dated. Overall, the hotel was very charming.

We loved it here! It started with such a sweet, kind greeting from Nancy. We were ocean view on the second floor. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It was well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The bedspreads are 100% cotton and great quality! Breakfast was very nice. We used the hot tub. It was so clean! We will definitely be back. We felt like we found a special, hidden gem.

This was my second visit to the Seaside Inn and once again, it did not disappoint. The gorgeous view from our second floor ocean view room was worth every penny! The inn has a great history with a wonderful staff and the most delicious muffins daily. The rooms are large with plenty of storage, and the beach access makes a sunrise walk perfect. The Seaside Inn is my HAPPY PLACE!
