Port Inn & Suites Kennebunk, an Ascend Collection Hotel

My family drove from Massachusetts to visit other family that lived in Kennebunk. We rented 2 rooms. It was close to the center of town and our family's house and Kennebunk Center which is beautiful. I do recommend taking the car to the center of own because the hotel is off a very busy road. My husband and I had the wheelchair accessible room #101 which allowed our small dog to join us. This was her 1st vacation with us. Dog walking areas were very close to the rooms. When arriving we were greeted by a friendly person at the front desk. She gave our dog a gift bag which was a nice surprise! We checked in quickly and went to our room. Most guests have to walk back outside to reach their room. The room pathways from the front door to our room are completely accessible, flat and wide enough

This was a great little place we stumbled upon in our travels. We needed a room for the night and places were expensive and selling out fast during our time in the area. We grabbed a room here for the night. The room was clean and decent and the staff was SO incredibly nice. The heated pool was the perfect temperature and we met another nice family on vacation there as well. The beds were comfy and had full body pillows and all of the lights and remotes and air worked. No complaints. Great alternative to the busier, more expensive places nearby.

Stayed for three nights. Bed was comfy, room and shower were very clean and room was quiet and we had no problem getting a good nights sleep. You can easily walk to the main part of town and about a 10-15 minute drive to Kennebunkport. Plenty of restaurants coffee shops nearby (easy walk). Tho room was clean, I feel they need to take out carpets and put wood or tile, especially since pets are allowed. We did not have breakfast there, but coffee was good and it looked more than adequate. Pool was definitely 5 star. It was clean, plenty of seating and nicely heated.

Third time I we have stayed here. Always friendly staff and CLEAN rooms. My only "complaint" this time around is mattress was maybe nearing it's time for replacement. We could feel the coils. Otherwise, another good stay.

Hotel is in dire need up updates and good housekeeping staff. Not anything like when we’ve stayed before. Bathtub had black ring around it and what looked like maybe mold around the tub where the silicone was coming off. Even what looked like a spot of feces on the wall near the toilet paper. Definitely not up to a choice hotel standard. We have stayed here in the past and had another couple with us this time but we were mortified and embarrassed to have recommended port inn to stay at. It will never be on our list to stay at again!!!
