Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel

The staff at this property were universally warm and attentive. Helen in the lounge was memorable for consistent check-ins, asking if guests needed anything, refilling food and beverage stations, and ensuring an executive level feel to the lounge. Front desk staff and maintenance workers also greeted guests and performed their duties with exceptional professionalism. ||The actual grounds were in sad shape. Elevators were slow with scuff marks on the faux brass veneers. The room was clean-ish but most aspects seemed so aged as to impliedly seem unclean. The lounge food quality was mediocre—I did not get sick, but I was worried the first time I ate there because it didn’t seem like high quality items. Perfect NYE stay. Location is perfect, close to airport and other shopping and attractions. Quiet considering it was New Year’s Eve. Hotel food is a bit pricey but they offer room service. There was a bar and happy hour was going on. Clean rooms. Breakfast was superb. Beautiful lobby area, safe parking garage. I was able to park right by the garage elevator. Will definitely consider more stays here in the future!

We stayed overnight because I had to be at the White House for an 8 a.m. tour (we live 1.5 hours south). The check-in was a breeze, the hotel qas beautifully decorated, the room was very comfy and had extra pillows (really nice fuffy ones!) and the restaurant had lovely dining options. There is a free breakfast, but I missed it because of my tour. When I got back to the hotel at 0930, they wouldn't accomodate me because I didn't have the voucher. Well, they took the voucher when my husband ate earlier. If you don't want to eat at the same time, make sure the hostess knows the other occupant will be down later. From what I saw, though, it was a very delicuous buffet with tons of options! Parking was free and safe.

I’ve stayed at this hotel more than 10 times over the years, and every visit seems to come with room quality problems — poor water pressure, hot water often not working, and general maintenance issues. But my most recent stay crossed into serious safety territory. From January 6–13 I was in Room 1207 and discovered an actual opening in the wall between my room and Room 1209. The gap was large enough to allow direct visibility between rooms. This is a major privacy and safety concern. I immediately reported it to the front desk manager as such. While I was moved and given points, I was shocked to see new guests placed into Rooms 1207 and 1209 the very next day — apparently without the issue being repaired, since the repair would be more than a patch job. I was able to stay at the Sheraton Pentagon City hotel. I really enjoyed my time there. The Female manager greeted me with a smile and thanked me for my loyalty. She advised of the free breakfast buffet in the concierge lounge which was delicious. Due to the current suspension of food in the evening she offered me two free drink coupons and a appetizer coupon for indoor restaurant. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in everyday. The hotel is close to various restaurants, the capital, downtown Washington and the Smithsonian. The parking is reasonable (especially for elite members) the rooms are nice and comfortable.
