Crystal Gateway Marriott

This is a convention/conference/business type hotel. It's absolutely great for that sort of thing. The staff are super nice and helpful. Very convenient location to get to the metro and the airport. My organization paid for my room. I was glad to be close to my activities and public transportation. I wouldn't vacation here on my own though. It's not what I'd consider a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. No pool, no spa, nothing for kids, no personal amenities beyond a restaurant/bar, a decent gym, and a nice free breakfast. The rooms and bedding were neat and clean, but otherwise small and meh. I liked this hotel, but I would not recommend for vacation or personal travel.

This hotel was such a wonderful and unexpected surprise! From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch. We were greeted by a gentleman named Yaya, who was absolutely fantastic — warm, professional, and welcoming. Right after he assisted us, his manager came over to check in and ask about our service so far, which really showed the hotel’s commitment to excellence.||The great service didn’t stop there. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, and the food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.||I also have to mention the M Club Lounge — it’s easily one of my top five, and that includes the one I’ve visited in Dubai! We just stopped in to relax until our flight back to d.c. and they couldn't have been more accommodating! We had 10 people and they were SO nice and really treated us as guests, even though we were only staying for a few hours. The lobby bar and bartender were better than expected for a monday early afternoon. Very pleased with the staff and accommodations they provided us with. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Positive: Nice staff, Great location, and very clean room are all pros for this hotel. Negative: Air conditioning was barely working. Room was very warm. Had to turn ac down 60 for it to feel decent. I?m also someone who gets cold easily, and it was too warm for me. Issue with billing but staff reassured me that it would be sorted out.

I have stayed here the past few years for an annual conference. I love that they have a shuttle from the airport makes it so nice. The location is clean, the rooms are nice/ comfortable, staff/ housekeeping is great and lots of close options for food. Only downfall is each year the bar/ restaurant gets overwhelmed and there is a long wait time for food/ service and not always the best. Otherwise it is a great location and I will be back next year!
