Seville Plaza Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

I’ve stayed in many hotels, and I usually don’t leave reviews unless the experience is genuinely bad. Apart from the location being slightly convenient, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. The hotel is currently under renovation, which means you’ll hear a lot of construction noise during the day, seriously affecting daytime rest. The newly renovated rooms also have a strong smell, which you’ll have to get used to. The room itself is quite clean, but the breakfast is very average, so don’t expect much. The strong smell in the new rooms is the biggest issue.

The room was severely neglected. The staff was nice but ownership and management failed this hotel. We booked a room with a couch and all we received was a room with a heavily stained chair. The room had a water leak from the ceiling and started to create a water bubble behind the paint and leaked all over the carpet. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet and the toilet constantly ran. There was hair all over the pillows and the floors were dirty. Our keys also stopped working randomly before checkout. The hotel was also going under heavy renovations which is fine, but we weren’t notified of this change until the day of check in. Renovations started well before we booked but there was no notice anywhere. We were informed parking would be restricted and that water would be off at the h

We came for the KCAI end of semester art exhibition, we have a freshman there. The location cannot be beat. Love that we can walk to campus, QT, and Ragazza next door. It’s also just off the Plaza. If you’re more focused on convenience and location than tons of amenities, this is the perfect place. Plus, there’s no surcharge for parking and spots were always available. This will be my go-to place to stay moving forward.

Positive: When I checked in the staff working was friendly and truly seemed to care about me as a customer. I don't recall his name, but he was better than staff at most hotels. Negative: I was most disappointed by the breakfast selection. There was coffee, tea, yogurt, and various bread options, but I would have liked to see meat and fruit.

The room is clean and nice, with a charming old building vibe. However, the toilet flush is quite weak. All the staff are really nice and kind. We loved the location because it’s just a two-minute walk to the streetcar station, and there are some good pubs and bars nearby. I felt safe there, and the hotel’s main entrance is closed from 10 PM to 10 AM, so only key holders can enter. Breakfast includes bread, bagels, yogurt, butter, cream cheese, jam, coffee, and tea. Overall, it’s a nice place!
