Riverdale Inn

Room 212: Bad neighborhood. Lots of construction in the same parking lot. Looks run down and not trustworthy. BUT with that said, the room was ok. No coffeemaker as advertised, cups are not individually wrapped as most hotel have them. There is a fridge in the room. Wallpaper is lifting in some places. The hallway does smell like weed and smoke, a lot!!!!! But the room smelled fine. Mattresses and boxsprings stored in the kitchen area in the lobby. Place definitely needs some TLC, but it was ok for one night. The beds and bathroom were clean. One bed was hard as a rock, but some people like that. I guess my opinion is you make the best of it, but a little expensive for what you get, or don't get. I would probably look somewhere else if I needed to stay around here overnight again.

This property is very close to downtown, yet in a nice, mostly peaceful neighborhood. We felt very safe here, and the property is near a nice park, a very good museum, and lots of great restaurants. Breakfast is very good, with multiple options available. Rooms are great, with the beds being comfortable. Staff are very friendly. They frequently have sweets in the lobbies to snack on. They have some books and games available on the property. There are some small negatives- occasionally a loud motorcyclist passes by. Also, be aware they are liberal with the use of pepper on their egg products and grits. If you do not like that much pepper, I suggest you let them know. Nonetheless, this is an excellent place to stay.

Positive: The location to where I needed to go was good Negative: The hotel was very poor looking on outside and inside. Need a lot of upgrades

Place was filled with roaches, smells very off, like cigarettes and cigars. When we discovered the roaches, front desk attendant was made aware of the problem, she was very rude about it gave us two options change rooms or leave, then said we would still be charged a 100 fee when we asked for a refund, we were in the room only 3 maybe 4 hours. Nasty place I took video of the roaches to prove to them and nothing was done

I got this room in a pinch, with no other avaliable hotel rooms foe one night. Room filled with roaches and bed bugs. Stains everywhere. Smells disgusting. So so bad. Room was powered with roaches killer and traps next to the fridge, with live bugs in it. I've never had such a experience at a establishment before.
