Candlewood Suites West Springfield by IHG

This hotel has great staff, great rooms w/ comfortable beds, and awesome water pressure. The pool and jacuzzi were outstanding. Welcome amenities for rewards members were the best I've seen in a long time. The cupboard had reasonable pricing and a vast variety of breakfast items as well as FREE coffee 24 hrs a day. Unfortunately, the rooms haven't been updated to include USB ports, absolutely NONE in the rooms. If you travel without an adaptor, you are at a loss for charging your devices. The front desk and/or the cupboard didn't have any adaptors to purchase or borrow. The WiFi isn't strong enough to support anything other than Live TV in all the rooms. An explanation from staff was that the signal isn't strong enough to use the TV's in anything other than it's minimal setting. Everything

Not a pet friendly place. Say they are but will no allow you to check in if you have a cat or American stafford. You cant be pet friendly with stipulations. Just say certain dog breeds allow. Cause an inconvenience in trying to find another place.. red roof is a better option for pet friendly fyi and first pet no charge. Candlewood charges. Lucky I didn't have to stay in my car. Had to fight with booking regarding the cancellation fee l, alease they approved the request not to keep partial ugh 😫

The hotel itself is fairly small. It needs a remodel, it feels dingy and the carpets are worn. But the suite itself is nice, comfortable and clean (fyi there's even a dvd player). The bed is sooo comfortable, although when we turned off the AC, the bedroom fan stayed on and is alittle noisy. |The big kitchen and bath are nice and the large table is a plus. I'm surprised theres only one attendant but found out she goes above and beyond with what we requested. She searched the halls for the luggage cart which is why she wasnt at the front desk when for check-in. Bianca is the sweetest attendant, theyre lucky to have her, but they should at least have a Be Right Back sign when they need to use the loo or run errands for guests. Their lunch/dinner online menu from 1030am-930pm is enormous and

The rooms are good, although not excellent. They are clean; congratulations to the housekeeper for the thoughtful touch of folding the toilet paper into flower shapes. I love flowers! I left a good tip. See you next time!

II stayed 4 nights and my husband 6 nights. PROS: 1. The beds are sublime, the best bed I have slept on, better than my bed at home. They are Sealy Posturpedic, the mattress was softer than I was accustomed to, but it was like sleeping on a cloud, with large fluffy pillows and a warm comforter. I would come back for the beds alone! 2. If it matters, they put out cookies every evening at the front desk. It is a nice touch unless you avoid sugar. 3. Alll the desk clerks, day or nighttime, were very pleasant. 4. The room appeared to be very clean when we checked in. 5. There was plenty of hot water to take a shower. 6.
