Rhea's Inn by the Sea

The nautical themed Inn is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The bedroom is spacious and the shower has good water pressure. The pantry is well stocked. The Inn is less than a 5 minute drive(20-30 minute walk) to the Cliff Walk and about a 10 minute drive to downtown Newport. There are a few cafes and restaurants that are 5-10 minutes walk from the Inn. Mission, a coffee and burger cafe, and Bottega Bocconi (an Italian market and deli) are next door to the Inn. Some of the restaurants are closing for the season. Tony, the owner, is extremely helpful in providing tips on where to eat and what to do around the area. There are ample parking spots at the Inn. It's definitely a great place to stay when visiting Newport.

We just returned from spending two nights at Rhea’s (July 3-5). We had a Jacuzzi King room on the second floor with a deck. The room was large (especially the bathroom) and the deck a nice amenity. The whole place is extremely well maintained and in the perfect location for exploring Middletown and downtown Newport. I am familiar with the area but had forgotten how many great places were right out side the door of this Inn. Restaurants, beach, bars, including a great breakfast place and excellent Italian sandwich shop and deli. We walked everywhere, except for second beach which is 1.5 miles away. Many people commented about the snacks and breakfast items and coffee that were always available. They were a nice surprise and much better than anticipated. We will definitely be visiting Rhea’s

Our first time staying here and it was amazing. The king jacuzzi suite was immaculately clean and very quiet, great view. The manager (or possible owner) Tony I believe his name is, was so friendly and accommodating to our situation after check out. Would totally stay here 100 times again! Great walking distance to pretty much everything. Huge selection of treats and food in the lobby and perfect tasting coffee!

Just got home from 4 wonderful days at Rhea’s. As always , room was perfect- very clean, breakfast selection was great and Tony was very accommodating. Will definitely be back again next year.

Wonderful place to stay a block away from the beach; it was so close that we saw the ocean from our view. The room was very cozy with beach vibes a small balcony where you can have your morning coffee and a hot tub. The man at the front desk was super nice; definitely had small owner type vibes to the whole place. There was a small parking lot but more than enough for everyone. They even had a breakfast nook where you can have some fresh coffee along with plenty of fresh fruits; pastries and other breakfast type food. Overall would definitely come back!
