Hampton Inn & Suites Newport/Middletown

Looking for a little relaxation and shopping before the holidays, we chose Newport for a short getaway. Newport is a phenomenal place to visit with great shops, superb restaurants and bars, and plenty of sightseeing opportunities. Unlike many coastal New England towns, Newport has a presence and life throughout the winter months and if you are dressed for the weather, you will find this destination amazing year round. ||Located less than 10 minutes from the Thames Street, we found this location to be a great alternative to staying in downtown Newport. The choice was easy - stay 10 minutes down the road at a reasonable price and then drive to the shopping/restaurant area and park for the day. With it being off season, we were able to secure downtown parking in the Newport wharf area

Positive: "" Negative: While the bathroom was clean and sleek looking, the shower was difficult to work. the setip of the glass door made it impossible to adjust the water unless you were totally in the shower. Luckily the water that blasted out was cold not hot

A very positive experience at this hotel. My only trouble resulted from using some of my HH points for the stay which 100% prevented the local staff from being any help at all. I learned my lesson and will never bother with that again. Would have liked to see a waterpik head in the shower and it wouldn't hurt to have a grab bar for older guests. Stayed at another Hampton in on way home that had both so sometimes it is a thing.

Everything was perfect here! The room was spotlessly clean and quiet. The sheets, towels and pillows were all very comfortable. The breakfast (included) was better than expected, with many choices of hot and cold items, ready at 06:00 and kept fresh all morning. The pool area was clean and inviting, although I did not use the pool this time. The fitness room was well-stocked and clean. Nancy was very helpful before and during my stay. I was offered a cookie at checkin, and there was a cofffee/tea service available 24/7 next to the front desk. The shower valve was hard to turn, and because of its location, I got sprayed with a little cold water at first. (Unwelcome because it's winter.) The glass shower door, valve and sprayer are just misplaced. I saw a housekeeper with shower curtains, so

Had an amazing stay at the Hampton Inn in Middletown! Every staff member, from the front desk reception to the breakfast crew and janitorial team, were super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was spotless when I arrived, and I loved the personalized “Honor Diamond” welcome screen on the TV. I know all Hilton owned hotels have this but it elevated the experience. Great customer experience and service all around. Hot breakfast has variety. I highly recommend Hampton Inn Newport/Middleton.
