Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia West Chester/Exton

This hotel is very tired looking. We were there with family Thanksgiving 2024, and the rooms was never serviced during our five day stay. My son's suite had a broken toilet in the second bathroom that was never properly fixed. We had stayed here before and had always been pleased, but this was not the case for this stay.

Although using GPS was slightly confusing because of other hotels close by, it was well mapped once you understood where it was taking you! Room was well kept and recently updated! Everything was clean and there was NO smell whatsoever! I was incredibly impressed especially given the price. All areas were well cleaned in the room, breakfast area, floors, lobby, etc. Overall very clean! the quiche in the breakfast line was cold but there was a good breakfast variety!

The manager, Pat, who was working at the front desk when I checked in was extremely friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything about my stay was perfect! She was a high point in my day which hadn’t been the greatest until that point. She was very personable, friendly, and cheerful. She truly made my stay an outstanding one! Overall this hotel stay was filled with nothing but highlights and left me with nothing but good things to say. The breakfast as well as the woman who was tending to it (I don’t know her name) were awesome! She was very friendly and sweet and went out of her way to make sure that everyone had what they needed and was enjoying their food. She kept the area very neat and orderly and was on top of making sure the items were restocked as needed. This

I am currently here been here since Friday. I am not sure where to start. At first glance room is beautiful but as I began to unpack I found the kitchenette sink had a leak. I called right away they came and saw this but I told them to come back in the AM Because it was late now. In the morning I discovered all the food I purchased was hot, the fridge was not on/working lights worked but it was not cold at all. my throat was sore and ears. My kids were coughing etc. I discovered a lot of mold in the windows and around them. In the vents and sinks around fire system etc. ! I asked for the manger after discovering the mold they sent someone to clean but it was just a wipe and drop off towels. i asked for my money back and I was told they would let the GM KNOW . I have to agree with all of the negative comments about this location - I checked in and checked out within 20 mins - when I arrived at the hotel a strong odor of Marijuana floated all around outside and when I asked if this was normal the attendant said well its legal here. Whatever I was tired and checked in - then walked to my room and entered - first thing as soon as I walked in I saw the couch was freshly sweeped - Nice..then I walked into the separate bedrrom nice touch till i tried turning on the lights and had to wiggle the switch to get it to work then when i did only one light worked. OK i can deal with that BUT THEN I looked harder at the couch and found what looked like a blood stain and another stain on it - then was disgusted - on the way out i found dents in the fridge door
