Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Wayne Southwest

I stay at this property every year for Thanksgiving. The ENTIRE staff is always warm and accommodating. This time, my room had an issue. I ended up switching rooms 3 times. The front desk agent was pleasant through the whole ordeal and finally got the television working in one of the rooms. I considered staying at the newer Springhill Suites, but I always have such a great experience at this property...why try to fix something that isn't broken.

*Bedbugs Bed Bugs Bed bugs. Night bugs they feed only at night. That's the only time you will see them. If really hungry they may appear in the day time . Rooms were really nice and spacious there was a kitchenette a private room living room and a really nice shower I was there for about 5 hours took a shower at dinner watch TV spent time with my family you know and went to sleep . So I assumed all was well maybe around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. in the morning I saw bed bugs in the bathroom in the sofa in the bed this room cost $100 and $50 a night it's no reason why this specific hotel should have bed bugs warning do not bring your family to this establishment. Gina pest control came out and the health department because I called them . Usually bed bugs come out at night . Nocturnal they feed at

Okay hotel, but not accommodating for people on night/graveyard shift. Woke me up with a planned test fire alarm and I wasn't warned ahead of time so I'm panicking trying to get my pets. I was woken again another time by hvac cleaning, and attempted to schedule a time for them to come. Instead they never showed up. Extremely frustrating and even complaining to the front desk, they only apologized and did nothing to make up for it. I will not be back to this hotel.

This place is in bad shape. It’s falling apart and dirty. The food was terrible too. I would not recommend stay here at all.

The hotel was very clean and quiet but was just a tad dated. We had a 2 room suite with a full kitchen which was extremely nice to use the full size fridge. We didn't use the stove or dishwasher but it was nice to have. The extra room was also nice having 2 teenagers. The swimming pool area/hot tub was also nice and big. There was a fire pit seating area outside the pool area which would have been nice to use but it was way too cold. The exercise room looked nice but it only had a couple of equipment pieces. The front desk employees were very nice and helpful.
