Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago O'Hare

After a long evening of flight delay/cancelation and the frustration of dealing with airline customer service, we arrived at the hotel and waited 20 minutes to check in with just family checking in front of us. Rooms are dated & bathroom had mildew. Breakfast at an airport hotel served later on weekends probably saves the hotel a lot of money but is incredibly ignorant about the types of travelers staying in this hotel & their needs.

Conveniently located right next to the Rosemont Horizon. Food options within walking distance. Friendly greeting from desk staff. Suite was very spacious - kitchenette is great for a longer-term stay. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed. Parking is $25/day. No resort fee. I would definitely return.

Solid hotel. Easy check in. Layouts a little unintuitive, rooms are a little dated. Great location though, especially for arena events. Fyi- Parking was $30 extra.

Unbelievably bad experience. Booked through a well-reviewed third party. When I gave the hotel my card for incidentals, the desk associate charged me AGAIN for the room. Somehow in the process of trying to reverse the charges, the associate managed to charge me the full price of the stay AGAIN. (So I effectively paid for the room three times.) Several conversations later I was informed that I would have to wait until after my stay to have the charges resolved. In consideration, I was offered the equivalent of $16 in Marriott points. (Side note: The suite was set for four but we only had two towels.) Overall it was not worth the hassle of staying here. Would not recommend.

I was fairly disappointed with my stay this time. My room really up to par. It needed to be cleaned better. Something on the walls and door to the restroom that resembled blood. My stay was 6 nights and I only received service to my room one day when I asked for it on the 4th day. I was informed that there were only 3 housekeepers, however I wasn't getting a discount because of that. I'm here for business and I don't want to have to clean my own room when working 10-11 hour days. I stay here twice a year but that may change.
