Red Roof PLUS+ Secaucus - Meadowlands - NYC

Room was clean No bugs Dogs allowed Friendly front desk person very accommodating for our needs last second. Janitor looked into our room directly both days we stayed rather than touching base with front desk or knocking on door so didn’t get to keep curtains open on stay much. . Going to contact HR regarding that considering I’m a woman and there’s no reason he couldn’t have knocked before staring at me shirtless. 11:00 sharp this happened at our last day. Pics of how easy it is to see inside before getting up to the glass and staring.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hotel is my yearly go-to whenever I visit this area. It’s affordable, very clean, and located in a quiet spot with a lovely water view. The front desk staff are usually friendly, and the beds are always comfortable. Today (10/9), I was checked in by BEVERLY — such a beautiful and kind person! She spoke so well and made me feel truly welcome and comfortable during my stay. Thank you, Beverly, for your warm hospitality! Just a heads-up for future guests: check-in time is at 4 PM, and there’s a small fee if you arrive earlier — Overall, still a great experience as always. Highly recommend! Positive: It's very quiet Negative: On the day of departure, they should be more polite. On two occasions, they entered the room and were quite abrupt in telling us we had to leave, even though we had made arrangements to extend our stay.

Went on a mini-getaway to American Dream with my family and decided to stay the night. Unfortunately, we stayed at the Red Roof Plus+ which was a total disappointment for the amount paid (over $240). The place was dirty and outdated. It needs a complete renovation! Our room had a weird smell and the wall/door in the bathroom was stained. I hope it was not feces. The sink was backed up. It was disgusting to brush our teeth there. Also the linens where not fresh. My children refused to go under the covers. Funny thing is that we decided to stay an extra night and stayed at another hotel which was cheaper ($222) and A LOT nicer. If you're in need of a hotel DO NOT STAY HERE unless it is your last resort. To make matters worse they take a $50 deposit which they refund once they check the room

I stayed at Red Roof for 5 days from the 7th to the 12th of November & I had no problem at all. My room was descent enough & the bed was very comfortable. No house keeping at all for the entire stay but that didn’t bother me because I knew it from the reviews. The hotel is in a very good place & there are restaurants around. Bus to New York operates every hour & it’s a 10min walk to the bus stop to take bus 129 to Port Authority Bus Terminal. I would stay in this hotel again & again because it’s affordable. It’s better than staying at a hostel in Manhattan for the same price. Bus is only $4,10 one way.
