Hyatt Place Secaucus/Meadowlands

We had an overall good stay at this hotel. Jeremy/Jeffery at check in was helpful and informative. Check in was seamless. Hotel area and room overall is clean. However, our bed sheets and specifically pillow did not feel clean. I had to remove 2 different type of hair from my pillow, meaning 2 (if not many more) people have slept on that pillow without the cover being switched. The bed sheets also did not feel or smell clean. Thus sleeping did not feel the cleanest experience. The rest of the room was clean enough. We did receive housekeeping service everyday which they did a good job. Hotel is nice situated, very quiet so you are able to get a good night's sleep with no noise issues. I recently booked six rooms for my family and me for our wedding at a nearby venue. There were several details to coordinate beforehand, such as guest names and billing arrangements, and the management team was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process. The rooms were impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, which made our stay very comfortable. The staff even went above and beyond by preparing flowers and a thoughtful card in our room for our wedding—a truly touching gesture. Every staff member we encountered was professional and friendly, ensuring our stay was seamless and stress-free. I sincerely thank the entire team for making our special occasion even more memorable. Great staff—very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean, and parking was convenient. Overall, it was a good trip I was there about a week ago. The reason I gave two stars is due to an elevator issue. One of the elevators was malfunctioning and ultimately shut down. I completely understand that elevators require ongoing maintenance, especially since I work in the building industry and it being shut down wouldn't impact my review score. What concerned me was overhearing staff say they were going to “reset” the elevator, and a few minutes later I found myself riding that same elevator after it had been shut down. Positive: The breakfast was good. Negative: The staff didn't change towels without having to be tracked down and sked. The bed was never made. We stayed 4 days.
