Red Roof PLUS+ Jamaica, NY - JFK Airport

I had a very positive 4-star experience here. The location was a definite highlight, earning a solid 4-star rating for its convenience. Both the rooms and service were dependable and met the standard 3-star expectation I had for my visit, making for a consistent and reliable stay near the airport.

Upon arrival late night to JFK after continuous flight from Europe found Red Roof hotel with rooms around $176 in late October, 2025. As didn't book it in advance we made a call to learn if any room is available and got positive answer. Within a half an hour we arrived to the hotel and paid for the room at front desk. It was $176 plus $100 fee hotel charges if some incidents occur. If everything is ok they do $100 refund. We checked out next morning and everything seemed to be OK. In a couple days my wife was checking her banking account and it was tricky. First they charged us $276.19 ($176 for the room and $ 100 refundable hotel fee). Then in a couple days after checking out they returned her $100 and one more time $100 (guess by accident) and after that charged back $150 what resulted t

Excellent Stay with Minor Room for ImprovementGreat location with friendly, helpful staff who went above and beyond. Room was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. Hotel facilities were well-maintained and breakfast offered good variety. Only minor issue was occasional noise from hallway traffic. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Solid value for money.

Positive: Rooms themselves were clean. Good water pressure and hot water. AC works once you plug it in. Strange they keep it unplugged so you have to troubleshoot to get it to work. Negative: The public areas of the hotel were not kept. The buttons on the elevator were sticky and the floors were sticky in the lobby and elevator. Small detail but initial grime entering a hotel predispose to not like. Also tv did not include real channels.

This place is perfect if you are traveling by train. Tomorrow morning I wake up and walk 2 blocks to the Jamaica train station which is where I catch the JFK Airtrain to my terminal. I have a bed, TV and a bathroom that's all I need. I had no toothpaste or a toothbrush and the guy at the front desk gave me both items.
