Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport News

The rooms are newly renovated. It's not as terrible as some of the other reviews make it sound. The front desk crew did a great job and I didn't have any problems. If you are traveling with young children I maybe would recommend for a safer area of town. If you are just staying there for a night or two and need to save money this location isn't a bad option; its a red roof inn.

I’ve been staying at Red Roof Inn on and off for about a month and the whole staff there is amazing. The manager Bobbie is very friendly and understanding and is helpful. The other staff are awesome as well. We always had a nice, clean room with no issues. I will recommend this location.

I want to thank this hotel. This is my reminder to never get a 2 star hotel ever again. I had 2 rooms back to back with pee on the side of the toilet, bugs on the floor, walls, and even the towels, and a AC unit looks so disgusting you wonder if it carries an unkown disease. I asked for a refund, but the manager located me to a different hotel to a better room. The staff their are super nice, but the hotel just made my skin crawl.

This place was by far the most DISGUSTING place I’ve ever seen! There were cockroaches on the walls, black spots on the walls that may be mold, there were flies coming out of the drains, there was dirt all over the floors, toilet, in the toilet, on the base boards, in the AC, and there was what looked like a bracket for a towel rack on the wall that had been ripped off. I tried to get a refund for my stay as I wouldn’t even let my worst enemy stay a minute in that room and I was told the manager would have to accept that. When I asked to speak to the manager over the phone, I was told he didn’t have his number, then he did have his number, then kept flip flopping while smiling at my frustration. If you are a traveler and you stay in a lot of different hotels, a Red roof is a Red roof. It's usually decently priced pets for free. Everything else can be about subpar. This might be one of the best Red roofs I have ever stayed in across this country
