Hampton Inn Newport News-Yorktown

As the hotel coordinator for a youth hockey team based in Greenville, North Carolina, we recently stayed here while traveling for a game — and overall, we were very pleased with the experience. Our rooms were ready upon arrival, which made check-in smooth and stress-free for our group. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. While I expected the rooms to be slightly more updated and a bit more spacious, that certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. The beds were exceptionally comfortable — a huge win after a long day at the rink. One thing we especially appreciated was the flexibility they extended to our team. They allowed us to gather in the lobby in the evening without any issues and even had hockey games playing on the lobby TVs

Hands down, this is THE BEST place we have stayed with our dog. She travels with us everywhere. And this hotel is the most accommodating, pet accepting place we have been.|The breakfast hours are a little longer than other places we have stayed, which is awesome! I like to sleep in while on vacation. The food was fresh - even later into the breakfast hours. The area was clean and hot food was hot|And I know many people look at hotels that accept pets and think it will be a dirty or smelly hotel. FAR from the truth. The moment you walk in, it is smells fresh and looks clean. |Our room was amazing, front desk staff were very friendly and personable. |We plan to visit this area often, and will definitely stay here again (and again)! Bravo Hampton Inn!!

Young lady at the desk was very helpful. Hard to find people willing to help you these days. They are pet friendly but the room was in good shape. No foul odors. I'm not sure why people that travel with pets are getting more favor than people that don't. I pay too and shouldn't have to pay more for a room that hasn't had pets in it. Pets don't pay but I do.

Great hotel. Stayed for a work trip. Staff are all very friendly, rooms are well equipped, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast is great. Very fair rates compared to other places in the area and close to all sorts of great restaraunts.
