Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport – Middletown, RI

Experienced a Blizzard while staying in the area was there for work. On the day of checkout I rebooked through Expedia and the lady up front who also claimed to be the manager/owner got upset that I didn't book straight through the hotel ( cause they jacked all their rates due to the weather) and told me I could pay 35 for "early" check in or come back at 3. I was then told I could not wait in the lobby as it would bother the other guests so I was forced into the weather. The lady up front said "you can give us a bad review if you want I know how to delete them" so I doubt this will even get read by most. The rooms are good there service just sucks and I would not recommend anyone stay here if you are expecting any sort of customer service..

Positive: Nothing Negative: CALLED 2x told details w/your Customer Service. I WANT CC charge removed. HAVE your highest level of Customer Care to reach out to me. Falsely accused by local police of domestic violence. WRONG room FYI GM Owner did nothing. HELP

No frills hotel, but it was clean, central location and friendly staff, just what I needed.

We had a great time staying at Red Roof Inn Rhode Island for 2 nights! The location was very convenient—close to tourist spots, grocery stores, and restaurants. We felt safe since it’s in a commercial area. This was our first time staying here, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our room was clean and spacious, though the bathroom was a bit small, but still fine. One thing to note—since it’s only a two-story building, there’s no elevator, so if you have a lot of things to carry, that’s something to keep in mind. What we really loved is that they’re pet-friendly, which made our stay even better. The staff were nice and accommodating, and breakfast was simple but good. I stayed at this hotel recently and had a very poor experience. The room was not clean, with noticeable issues that should never be overlooked. There was an unpleasant odor, and the bathroom was especially dirty. I reported the problems to the front desk, but nothing was done to fix them. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, which made the situation worse. For the price paid, the quality was unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here. I won’t be returning.
