Red Roof Inn Atlanta - Kennesaw State University

I have stayed twice at this hotel. The first time was 2 years ago, and it was fine - a bit run down, but about what is expected for the brand. This time this past weekend, things have really gotten bad. My room REEKED of cigarette smoke (non-smoking). The vinyl trim at the base of the walls was substantially pulling away from the wall in multiple places. The light fixture was missing part of the metal pole that holds the cord in place (with sharp metal edges left exposed). There was a lot of spilled make-up left in the grooves of the vanity. Questionable areas of black mold in the bathroom. Floor was a bit sticky. Spider webs in some corners. The air conditioner worked, but it sounded like an airplane taking off every time it cycled on - and stayed extremely loud the whole time.

Positive: Allowed late night check in (1:30 am) Negative: Night clerk insisted on running my card again even though I had receipt from booking it online she said it would auto-refund (it did not, I waited 2 days then called and the daylady fixed it right away) I saw several roaches in the bathroom

Hotel room was outdated and not very clean. I asked to check out at noon instead of 11 and was told no( first time I've ever been told no to check out at noon from any hotel in my entire life) because it was storming really bad out. Upon checking out at 11 I was also told the lobby was closed apparently it's been that way for about a year or more. So I had to stand outside in the rain and storms for an hour! Don't stay here little respect and care for their customers

I've stayed at some horrible hotel rooms but this is absolutely the most disgusting room I have ever stayed in ( 110 ) After 14 hours on the road all we wanted to do was crash. If I wasn't dead tired I would have cancelled and rented a room anywhere else. Nothing in the room worked - TV had wires dangling and disconnected. Alarm clock didn't work. Refrigerator didn't work but the back of it got really hot. There was a plug extension with scorch marks on it- fire hazard for electronics that don't even work. The cheap laminate flooring was buckling and coming apart all throughout and many end joints were poorly filled with caulk. The bedding had pink stains on it. The sink was cracked and didn't drain. We were lied to from the get go making reservations. We reserved two beds smoking with a small dog. We were quoted 140. for 1 night and told it was a premium room. That's all we were told except we get a gift which we chose 20. Donation to an animal foundation, which I highly doubt happens. At check-in we were charged an additional 50 for security deposit which wasn't disclosed making the reservation. Here is video of our premium room.
