Rancho Cordova Inn

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked a two-night stay through Priceline. When we arrived, we were told our reserved room was “not available” and that the only option was an upgraded room that required an additional charge. We were forced to pay extra just to have somewhere to sleep. When we entered the room, it looked like someone had literally just been sleeping in it. The bedding appeared used and unclean. The floors were filthy. There were visible stains on the walls. Basic items like a trash can and proper furnishings were missing. The lights flickered. The entire room felt unsanitary and neglected. Checking in was easy and smooth. The room was clean and that's all I can say good about the room. 1st, had to go get towels, 2nd, no ice machine, no frig in room or microwave, 3rd, after a 14+ hour flight I wanted a shower, and of course it didn't work. The free internet is sporadic at best.

Booked hotel through Choice Hotels. When I went to check in the clerk said I did not have a reservation! I told him I had a confirmation through Choice hotels and he said they haven’t been part of them for over 3 months. Called Choice hotels and complained and they couldn’t care less! Checked into hotel on my own. My room was very clean! But when I went to use the refrigerator it was full of old food! Not sure the last time it was ever cleaned! Location was close to many restaurants.

I’m not sure how Choice let me book this place, it’s basically a homeless shelter. People live in their cars in the parking lot. My neighbors seemed pretty well settled in as if it was an apartment. There are adjoining doors for the rooms and sound just bleeds through. The advertised “balcony” is just the hallway for the rooms. People were partying on the “balcony” outside my room at 1am, that wasn’ cool because I didn’t have a security lock on my door. The room is near empty with walls devoid of artwork. 3 of my 4 pillows had stains. No headboard and only one side table. No washcloths or hand-towels, just 2 bath towels. My room was not serviced in my 2 night stay. I found some articles about the owner of this place suing a non profit that tried to lease this place as a halfway house. I fe
