Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Portland

We stayed here because parking was free and there was a refundable pet fee. We were not expecting much from reviews, but just hoped for the room to be clean. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious. It was very clean... even while being pet friendly. The balcony was nice to allow for fresh air. The beds were super comfy. We brought apple tv to stream. The only issue was the colors on the tv were very muted, but we just watched with the lights out. We were not expecting to spend much time in the room but due to the weather we spent more time than anticipated but it was great. We had food delivered. We ate breakfast at stacks which is connected to the hotel one morning. There was coffee in the hotel lobby. Check in and out was very easy.

Positive: The new bar was nice. Negative: 2 rooms and neither had been cleaned from previous guests. Dirty socks laying out in the open in our first room. 2nd room had food crumbs on the floor, trash and food in between the mattresses and box springs, and a used hair tie hanging in the shower.

Location is good. Rooms dated but clean and comfortable. The Highlight for our group was the restaurant and bar located in the hotel. Great food, excellent service and Live Music. We throughly enjoyed our stay. We are from Kansas City and we found the locals to be so welcoming and friendly 😊🙏

While the location of the hotel is good, the experience was lacking. Regardless of the amenities the hotel has, they are just that: amenities. We reserved in advance a big suite for 4 adults and one kid with two double beds and one full bed. We got a room with just two double beds instead. When we went to see what other options there were they said they did not have rooms, they didn't even have a cot for the kid. They said they were gonna check and call us to let us know wether there were cots or not, but they never called. We had to improvise a sort of bed for the kid with a chair and a sort of not-couch they had. Parking lot was packed with cars from people that wanted to go to a bar that is on the side. They forgot that they are a hotel, the basics of a hotel were not met: beds. The roo

The entire hotel staff is welcoming when you arrive. The common areas are clean and nicely decorated. Jim and Mark do a great job maintaining the pool and hot tubs. It's in a great location. I highly recommend a stay.
