Ramada Inn Mandarin

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked through air bnb and it was absolutely gross had roaches and bedbugs and we had to wait for 40 min to even get the keys and the host refused to refund. All photos are uploaded separately. The most nasty bnb I have ever seen.

Ramada Hotel has a great location, attractive exterior, and excellent breakfast, but outdated rooms, mold issues, and unsafe conditions make the stay a mixed bag. Location: About a 20-minute drive from UNF, the hotel has an attractive exterior and gives off a solid 3-star impression. It’s conveniently located just off the highway, with plenty of restaurants, stores, and nightlife nearby. The area feels lively and accessible, which is definitely a strong point. This is the worst hotel I've seen in many years. I wasn't the only customer who couldn't get into the room and had to go to the front desk multiple times to get help to get the door open. Then the maintenance people went home and they gave us the master key card and said that was the only option if that didn't work they had nothing else they could do. After like 30 tries the card finally unlocked the door. Sink in the bathroom takes hours to drain. Staff wasn't helpful or friendly. It has three Stars online but that is way to good for what you actually get. The comedian based half of his jokes on the hotel quality and had people laughing at the brutal reality of his jokes. I'm currently staying in a hotel that barely meets the basic standards of comfort or security. The room doesn’t even have a functional lock or key, leaving me feeling uneasy and exposed. To make matters worse, the toilet is in terrible condition—unhygienic, poorly maintained, and frankly, unusable. It's disappointing and frustrating to pay for accommodations that fail to provide even the most essential amenities.

Good luck securing a room without its own eco-system of black mold—I had the "pleasure" of experiencing this firsthand in room 141. I switched rooms hoping for a breath of fresh air, and the room we got switched to does not appear to have much - if any black mold. So for that, I am grateful. Take a look at the pictures I've attached for a glimpse of my moldy adventure (#141). On a brighter note, the breakfast here could be phenomenal if you can overlook the less-than-welcoming staff, who seemed to have taken their customer service cues from, let’s say, less savory regimes.
