Ramada by Wyndham Altamonte Springs Near I-4

I have previously reviewed this property, and the review was not as positive. Maybe they read the previous review and modified things. I am not sure. I will say I have been staying here for a few months and appreciate what u am getting for the money I am spending. The staff are friendly, at least the two I have dealt with mostly. The breakfast hits the spot, and the manager does a great job keeping the area clean and stocked. The rooms are clean, the water is hot, and the climate control units work. I get as good a sleep here as I do at any other place that is not my home. I’ve been very happy with my stays and have a few more trips to make to this hotel before I retire.

Woman at front desk was very helpful and kind. She made sure I was on the ground floor since I just had knee surgery the same day and I wasn't very mobile. Even though there is an elevator, she wanted to make sure I was on ground level in case something happened with the elevator. She also gave us food recommendations for something that can be delivered so my boyfriend wouldn't have to leave me alone after surgery. The room was clean. Nothing fancy, but we didn't need it to be. The TV has log-in access for streaming services. I would suggest though if you're in a wheelchair or on crutches, asking for a handicap accessible room. There was no safety bar on the wall and toilet was very low to get on and off of in a regular room without help. Continental breakfast was muffins, pastries, bagels

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it isn't the WORST place we ever stayed. The staff were all very friendly, but the hotel room and grounds were not clean or well maintained. If it wasn't 1am when we arrived, we would have gone somewhere else. Layers of dust on baseboards, huge gap between curtains and window so huge beam of bright outside light lit up the room all night, spigot in shower was detached from wall of shower, lots of stranger hair on floor in bathroom, sink was cracked from end-to-end, towels and bedding were dingy.

The room was clean, the pool was great, the staff was helpful and so friendly. We are coming back down next year and we plan to stay here again! For what we paid I give this place top marks!

Positive: Older, value hotel but rooms have been nicely updated. Everything worked, was clean, decent lighting, nicely surprised. Negative: Difficult to get into and out of due to road configurations.
