Extended Stay America Suites- Orlando - Altamonte Springs

First room I was in was in smelt terrible had to switch immediately, couldn’t even breathe in there. They switched me to a much nicer room. Had to comment on that, hence the 3 stars on the “room” portion. But the only reason I’m even writing a review is ROBERT AT THE FRONT DESK deserves some serious recognition. That man was attending to a TON of people by himself, bouncing around like a rubber ball and absolutely bent over backwards for me and multiple people I observed in less than like, a 30 minute span. Give that man a raise or a paid day off, seriously. You should be happy to have him.

I reserved this hotel 3 nights for a family member coming to town for a funeral. At 1 AM on the first night he awoke to find his room alive with roaches. ||He left the hotel and we found him accomodations elsewhere.||I will say the front desk was apologetic and didn't quibble about cancelling the rest of the stay. Unfortunately, they would only refund the amount for the next two nights. Apparently they thought the stay in a roach filled room was acceptable.||I should also say that our family member has lived in Florida for many years and isn't squeamish; but this was bad enough that even he left the property.

Was here out of town working. Probably should have slept in the truck. I'm very glad that amongst the many tools I have at my disposal I did not have an Ultra Violet light. That room looked like the perfect setting for a retro 70's style adult film. Judging by the stains on the floor, it maybe has been. I didn't even want to climb under the covers. The parking lot was cleaner, and smelled better! This place has all the vibes of a shady middle of nowhere gas station bathroom, but it's in such a great area. What an oxymoron!

Positive: The housekeepers were super nice and they’re probably the only reason the hotel is still getting bookings. Negative: The hotel front desk staff are very nasty people. The manager is a scammer. If you book online he’ll lie and say you didn’t book the right room and that you’ll have to come down to pay a difference of whatever amount he chooses

This was a disgusting experience. We had cockroaches running around our room. There were dead bugs in our bed. Every time we went to talk to a staff member there was nothing but rudeness. This led to us being forced to checkout early, in which, the staff lady gave us attitude and did not help in anyway. 0/10 experience and will never comeback. Never get a room here!!!
