Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Orlando Altamonte Springs

I live on the same street and I've had family/friends stay here on this Raymond Ave location, and it's the absolute WORST place in the vicinity! My neighbors and I have had so many issues with the type of people staying here. The sheriff's office is regularly notifying us to not be alarmed because they're parked outside our home to stake out the hotel for "illegal activities!" All the neighbors have called, emailed, visited in person to complain about the random homeless people "camping out" behind the hotel, which is just feet away from our homes/properties. People complain and leave bad reviews but to bypass that, they change the hotel name with a fresh coat of paint and start all over again! The rooms smell and are dirty. NOT KID OR FAMILY FRIENDLY! The worst experience in my life related to hotels! If you have little kids, avoid this place! At 10.30 p.m. a receptionist lady came to inform me that if my two year old child cries again, we will have to vacate the room in the morning. They never offered any help or another room at the back or better isolated room. So unprofessional. We were supposed to be there for two nights. She said that it is the their policy. This never happened to me before. My toddler cried for a minute. Imagine if he throw a regular tantrum that lasts 5 or 15 minutes. Unbelievable! Also, rooms are in poor condition. Refrigerator made loud noise all night and combine that with AC – there goes your sleep! I would give them zero stars if that was possible! 😡

The amenities were nice enough and I liked the bathroom and kitchen and full size refrigerator. There were just a different noises throughout the night coming from the AC, the creaking floors upstairs, and the creaking bathroom door. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets had little fuzz balls on them. The chairs at the desk were visibly soiled and dirty. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a little disappointing and underwhelming. For $120 a night, I would have expected a better experience. I could have just as well been at a Best Western.

Front desk is awesome, rooms were comfortable, food was okay. 3 stars because house keeping was only good for fresh towels. Both ladies were rude, stayed here 4 nights and couldn't get them to come in to clean properly because they were "busy". Paid for 4 days, I think my room should have been considered as a room, right? Kitchenette and laundry facility very handy!!

Much different then last time I stayed. Still very clean and overall people were friendly but since this was my second visit and since I'd booked through Booking.com I was taken back by being required to leave a credit card for a security deposit at check-in. Breakfast Saturday was much better then Sunday and since they only have one waffle-maker always a line. Refrigerator in room didn't make ice so we had to go to front desk to get some. There were only 2 different kinds of bath towels for a weekend stay and since there is no housekeeping on weekends it might have been nice to leave extra supplies.
