Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Altamonte Springs/Maitland

We stayed for two nights with our baby. The rooms are spacious, and although the hotel is older, the size of the room, kitchen, and bathroom was decent — so no complaints there. What really disappointed us was the maintenance and housekeeping. Our bathroom became clogged the first night. We’re very reasonable people, so before even calling housekeeping we asked for a tool so we could try to unclog it ourselves. It was messy, but we did what we could and even wiped up the water with towels so it would be easier for housekeeping to finish cleaning. After reporting the issue twice, we left expecting they would at least replace the towels and sanitize the floor. We came back later that night to find nothing had been done — no cleaning, no new towels — and the bathroom was still unusable. The

Breakfast was terrible! The potatoes were hard and dry. We had to eat out at a restaurant, if that says anything. Definititely skip it unless you want oatmeal. ||Our room was overall decent. However, the lamp was broken, the shade could not stay on. The TV was barely functional. It was 80% pixelated the entire time, regardless of channel. There was no coffee maker anywhere to be found. The threshold between the carpet and vinyl kitchen floor was broken in half and sharp to step on. ||It was cheaper than staying closer to Orlando, now I know why. ||The bed and the staff were nice, no complaints there. The room was clean and smelled nice when we arrived. A/C, dishwasher, and microwave worked fine. Marriot, do better.

In the area for a business trip. I have stayed at many Marriott properties for business travel and vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the property is older and the maintenance is lacking. I was in a room that sleeps 6 but the kitchen was very sparse with utensils and place settings. The breakfast was good and they kept everything well stocked. The exterior maintenance and cleaning is non existent. There were many cigarette butts on the deck leading to my room. The only saving grace is that the room was clean. I most likely would not stay here again given the number of hotels in the surrounding area. If they cleaned up the grounds it could be a very nice place. There are some restaurants nearby that are within walking distance.

After reading reviews I was a little hesitant to stay here but the stay was fine. We stayed in a two bedroom which was huge and came with two bathrooms and a huge living room. The bedrooms were comfortable and I didn’t notice any of the issues that other reviewers noted. The property itself is dated along with the rooms. The breakfast was avg nothing special. I appreciate the service we received and the front desk let us check out at 2pm to accommodate a late soccer game. Other families who stayed at other hotels were not shown that courtesy.
