Quality Inn West Springfield

I picked this hotel for the affordable rate and the free breakfast. On the positive, the on demand movie and TV options were the best I have ever seen in a hotel. The free breakfast was also pretty decent, especially with the waffle makers. On the negative, the bed in my room was the worst mattress I have ever slept on. Springs were sticking up into my back and large dips in the mattress. The bathroom looked nice, but there was no hot water in the shower. It never got above lukewarm at best. There is also no sound buffering in the hotel, so you will hear everything going on in other rooms (and somehow there were domestic disputes and slamming doors both nights we were there). Overall, I feel like there is potential in the hotel but it needs some upgrades snd improvements to really make it

This place is so well run. Everything is really clean, the rooms are comfortable with minimal fridge larger than normal, microwave, etc. and you get a lot for your dollar Ie breakfast is decent (something for everyone) and they had a nice flavored non- alcoholic drink at the front desk and water bottle filler. They care about waste, and have shampoo and conditioner in refillable containers on the wall and every other day cleaning.

There was a single hair on each of our 4 pillows lol. Our bathroom door did not close or lock which was odd. Breakfast was alright considering our room price but definitely nothing special or noteworthy food-wise and the room that it was served in was interesting to say the least, not a single window and just one long counter with a few random things spread out across it with a bunch of tables. Overall- a cheap and weird stay but not the worst place I’ve stayed in

Positive: It was situated a short distance from the Big E. Plenty of parking and options outside of the hotel. Negative: The sliding glass door was broken. The glass had completely separated from the door. We were unable to close it and we went to sleep with the sounds of the highway next to it. We told them we were ok with this since it offer some fresh air to go to sleep.

It was clean (my most important criteria) and the bed very comfortable. The desk staff was helpful and I really loved having the desk in my room because I had work to do and this made it possible. Breakfast was fine. The problems were minor, but they were: generally run down appearance (particularly the pool), pot being smoked by a neighboring room (in the morning!), some noise at night, the tv not really functioning well and difficult to use. The lighting in the room was dim and hard to turn off when going to sleep. Overall, though, I would stay there again.
