Quality Inn & Suites Middletown - Newport

Stayed here for 27 days waiting for my apartment to be ready. The water is lukewarm all the time so it's very difficult to feel clean after a days work. The elevator broke so I had carry my belongings up and down stairs. The owner's clean the rooms to save on labor but also to scam & bill you the $150.00 smoking fee even if you don't smoke so if do smoke you might as well smoke in the room because if they smell it anywhere the whole hallway will be getting charged on the way out. Even had the desk attendant walking up and down & knocking on doors and I invited him in my room to verify there was no smoking going on. Like I said the owner's clean the rooms so there's no way to dispute the transaction. Ps the parking lot is a ice skating rink no salt and not very well plowed and please Please

Great location right on Main Street and super close to Naval Station Newport. The front desk staff were friendly and housekeeping kept everything clean. The bedding was comfortable, though I’m pretty sure the beds weren’t true queens, and the mattress definitely isn’t ideal if you like something firm. Breakfast was solid for a quick start—make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, sausage links, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, tea, and juices. Kids would absolutely enjoy it. A neat feature: the aquarium in the lobby. Really cool touch and nice to see when walking in. Now for the downsides: the WiFi was extremely slow, and it honestly felt like they expect you to pay for the upgraded version just to get usable internet. The business center was also out of service. Funny, as we were checking in, a couple came in to check out complaining they did not like their room and wanted to cancel. Overall it was ok, the king sized bed was comfortable, tho the pillows were smaller than standard. The tables and lamps needed dusting and rug needs shampooing. The bathroom is the smallest we've ever been into, sitting on the toilet, one hits toilet paper holder with elbow, awkward! The exhaust system in bath is different where there is no window, hardly hear it and odors/shower steam stay in bath for a long time. It is ok for temporary stay. Enjoyed hot breakfast, good coffee and juice, tho we didn't have it, had waffles you can make yourself, toast,eggs,home fries, muffins,bagles, cold cereal.

Currently under renovations and the room had a few minor, cosmetic issues. it was very clean and spacious as we had a "family suite" which had 4 queen beds with 2 refrigerators which was so helpful. A few very small decorative tiles were missing on the floor. There was an issue with the hand towel bar in the bathroom, it would fall off the wall if someone wasn't careful taking the towel off of it.

This place is absolutely disgusting! We ended up leaving after two hours because of how nasty the room was. The whirlpool tub’s water ran a nasty brown color and had a foul smell. The random blue chair in the room had ‘human excrement’ all over the front. Multiple finger/toenails were over the carpet. Last but not least, the fecal matter splatted onto the wall in the bathroom. I’d give this place 0 stars if I could.
