Quality Inn Newark - Wilmington

I am so thankful for my stay at the Quality Inn. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, safe, and comfortable. Raj at the front desk is truly an outstanding employee and a huge asset to this hotel. He was quick, efficient, and professional, and most importantly, he listened carefully to my needs. He made sure I received the exact room I requested and accommodated my handicap needs without hesitation. His kindness, patience, and attention to detail made such a difference, and I am extremely grateful for his help. The room itself is beautiful, spacious, and perfect. It has everything I need—a TV, fridge, microwave, chair, and plenty of space to relax. Right now, it truly feels like a home away from home, which means more than I can express. I feel safe here, comfortable, and at peace. T

I absolutely love this place. The staff is kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and well-maintained. The heating, air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave are all in wonderful condition. This is the best place around with the best prices. I will never sleep in any other inn/motel/ hotel.

We booked this room very last minute for Parents' Weekend at UD. We checked in fairly late (10pm) with no problems. The bed was clean, as were the towels. That's where the good review ends. The cleaning appears to have stopped at the linens - light switches, door knobs, etc are clearly not part of the cleaning process, and the greasy, salad dressing-like smear on the nightstand was something that may haunt me for the rest of my life. Given the price, I'm not going to pass judgement on our fellow guests. I never felt unsafe, but it was loud and our neighbors had some questionable "acquaintances" stop by throughout the night. But my bottom line for this review: the stink in the room was REALLY overwhelming - cigarette smoke and something I'd rather not identify - all despite the no smoking

This place was recommended by a sister hotel because they were booked and others had hot water issues. We got there at about 10:30pm after driving all day and was exhausted. The front desk clerk was outside talking on his cell phone and then socializing with another male. He saw us arrive. We didn't know he worked there. I had to wait at least 10 minutes to check in. When we got to our room 108, it was filthy. The tub was not only discolored but dirt stuck to it. The floors were sticky, The furniture felt grubby. Thought it was a joke that they even held $50 on our credit card for incidentals because the entire place was run down from the rust on the lamps, to the dirt in the corners of the bathroom and other areas, to the picture barely hanging on the wall. Upon my arrival in Rm 334 I noticed a multitude of tiny dead flies surrounded by dirt & rust on the window and window sill. I entered the bathroom & saw the tub filled front to back with pubic and head hair amazing angst other debris. I wiped the floor in the bathroom repeatedly only to repeatedly have paper towel with which I wiped turn dark with dirt and occasional tiny dark bugs. I then wiped the entire faux wood floor in the bed area and found the same thick dirt throughout. I had to attend a play that evening so after I finished cleaning (almost 2 hours) I urinated and flushed the toilet - only to find it did not work! I went to the front desk to ask that maintenance repair the toilet while I was at the show that night and was told no one was available.I then requested a plunger, as i
