Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wilmington-Newark by IHG

Excellent rooms. Breakfast was decent. Only gripe I have is that when we stayed at marriott they allowed juice to be given all day long but here the Juice machine was locked off once breakfast done. Small gripe but still. The room and bathroom was clean.

We spent one night at this Holiday Inn Express during our travels through Delaware. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible. Our room was large and well-maintained. Everything was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. The beds were comfortable, and the room had all the standard amenities we needed including a mini-fridge and microwave. The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of options and was well-stocked, The indoor pool was clean and well-kept. However, the chlorine levels were noticeably high — strong enough to be uncomfortable.

Stayed here for just a night passing through. Cat at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean, the sheets actually smelled amazing compared to most hotels. The free breakfast was great, coffee was as good as you can get for free coffee. No complaints! I would stay here again if I was passing through.

On New Year’s Eve, a stressful situation turned into a huge relief thanks to the staff at this hotel. My daughter was hours away from home for the night when an issue with heat at another place meant she suddenly needed a room—fast.||I tried another hotel brand first but had no luck arranging things remotely. When I called the Holiday Inn Express, my call went straight to the front desk, and Nancy was an absolute lifesaver. She was calm, kind, and incredibly helpful, and she made sure my daughter had a room for the night without adding any extra stress to an already tense situation.||The stay itself was great: comfortable beds, a warm and clean room, and a really good breakfast the next morning. I had to cancel my reservation to travel to this hotel. I was one day beyond the cancellation deadline. I explained we had to cancel because of severe weather coming into New England, where we were traveling from. The hotel denied this request but i was unaware i had made a reservation through a third party. When I spoke directly to the hotel the GM was very nice and agreed to the refund. Please make sure you are reserving directly through the hotel as I am stil working to get the refund from the third party.
