Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington Christiana

I had booked a room for 4 nights while my husband underwent major back surgery at Christiana Hospital. It was right across the street basically. After surgery the surgeons decided he needed to stay longer but it was day by day. The front desk staff were so gracious every morning when I asked for another night 3 times. It was so nice to have no stress with regard to where I would sleep! Thank you!

We were there for a softball tournament. It was great that breakfast started at 6 on the weekends and it was very good. The kitchen staff worked hard as there were a lot of teams there and food items were fresh and well stocked. The lobby is very nice and spacious. Rooms are decent, on the smaller side . If I were the manager/owner, I would ensure that the front desk staff help with keeping the front of the house stocked and cleaned. There are no microwaves in the rooms and the shared one in the lobby was always dirty. The coffee was empty Sunday morning at 6:30 am. It would be difficult for the one person navigating breakfast for everyone to also make sure the coffee is full. Front desk staff were very friendly but should lend a hand to make it a seamless operation. They were never slamm

Positive: The staff was super friendly and welcoming (gave me a bag of dog treats for my 4 dogs) the pet fee was only 75.00 for all 4 dogs so I was able to spend Christmas with them (two are sick and elderly so it may be our last Christmas! ) So appreciate you all! Negative: ""

It was fine - I stay at Hampton inns all over the country, this one is solidly average. Room was very nice, spacious, and clean. No issues with check in or check out, although at check in the staff was a little "off"/distracted, and I didn't get my honors member water bottles. Lobby area is really nice, there's a tv, I played cards with some family members for a while and no one bothered us. Breakfast was ok, but far from the best Hampton breakfast I've seen. I was perfectly happy, I just have had *better* stays at other Hamptons before. I'll be back again though, it's in a great location for my visits to DE!

This hotel knows how to take care of Lifetime Diamond Members. There are some Hilton hotels where the front desk doesn't even know what a 'Diamond' is, let alone 'Lifetime Diamond.' It is a different story at the Hampton in Christiana. At check-in, I was greeted by a lovely young lady named kristen she said, 'Thank you for being a LIFETIME Diamond Member! While offering me my waters and snack from the display case. Her hospitality, spirit, and professionalism made my experience with this hotel, a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back.
