Courtyard by Marriott Newark-University of Delaware

I'm still here on business for two more weeks. Up to now it's been a great experience. My room is above the restaurant patio and up til tonight no issues. Right now there are so many loud patrons on the patio. It is 9 o'clock at night and I need my rest. The hotel is not very accommodating. Basically they're telling me that I can move my room, but that would involve probably 30 minutes or more and a major inconvenience after settling in three days ago. This is ridiculous all this noise from the patio. My recommendation is if you choose this hotel and you need sleep ensure that you are not in a noisy area.|I'm really not happy how the hotel is handling this matter

Excellent, professional staff. Bed/pillows very comfortable for me. Entire facility and my room appeared very clean and fresh. Lobby has been remodeled but rooms have not. Still looks in good condition, but decor in rooms is dated. I would suggest the hotel have earlier coffee service available. The lobby coffee is not very good but it was all that was available when I checked out just before 7 am. I wasn't able to wait longer to get the stronger coffee I wanted. Overall, its a very nice place as I think all Courtyard's are.

This is one of the nicest Courtyards I’ve been in! We were visiting the University of Delaware and we would have walked over if it weren’t 10F outside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from Timms at the bar to Natalie at the breakfast counter to the check-in and check out staff and . The room was also a good size.

Absolutely no hot water!!!! Known issue when we called the front desk!!!! Excuse me??????? You will send the service tech up in 2 hours? Excuse me? For what? Maybe the hotel needs a big boiler system to handle all the rooms? Who wants to shower with ice cold water in the middle of winter. It’s the More expensive hotel in the area and no hot water what so ever. NONE. DO NOT Book this hotel IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER…. Unless you like ice cold water. ..next time holiday inn.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was really good for being close to the University, and the room was nice. But the hotel staff was amazing. Taj (at the front desk) was particularly great. I needed help finding a larger bag for ice (for a bad knee), plus help with a few other things. He was upbeat, friendly, and always willing to help. It's the kind of customer service I wish everyone had!
