Quality Inn near Potomac Mills

I decided to stay at Quality Inn during my visit to see a childhood friend. The employees were respectful, & my room was clean & quiet. Unfortunately the only thing that made it disappointing was the blow dryer that came with the room. It was brown & rusted, for which I was super scared to use. It was unfortunate, because I looked forward to doing my hair (as I didn’t pack one of my own). When traveling, visitors look forward to the rooms enmities considering packing a lighter suit case or bag is ideal & makes traveling easier. So I was bummed about that. If you are a beauty lover, be cautious when deciding to leave behind any beauty tools back home while visiting. Also I did make a wrong turn heading to my room on the first night, as there were two separate hallways one left & right. Luck

We booked the room because of our small dog (pd $25 extra fee) and to save some money over a higher rated hotel. The location met our needs and the room was fine. Nothing fancy. Good breakfast, friendly staff, and satisfactory accommodations. However, the lack of outside door security was concerning. Our key card was not needed to enter a side door -- the door remained unlocked throughout our stay potentially allowing anyone to enter (guest or not). I would also recommend the dog space be cleaned and free from litter, liquor bottles, etc.

It was a good price for an okay stay. We stayed 2 nights while visiting family in the area. The room was pretty clean but not without issues. The coffee maker was missing the drawer to make the coffee, but there was coffee available in the lobby. The toilet seat was broken but usable, and the desk in the room was very unstable and the air conditioning was minimal. The hall smelled of smoke and the carpet in the hallway was dirty. ||The staff were friendly and Irma in the breakfast room was really great - friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good with a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, yogurt, and coffee and juice. 5 stars for Irma.

If you need an inexpensive hotel for a night or two, a clean room & bathroom, and nice staff. Then this is it. I will say I wish they made all rooms non smoking, because the smell does linger in the hallways. And some pot smell is atrocious as that lingers in the hallways too. But the rooms are clean and smell nice.

The surrounding area is quiet enough, with easy access to gas stations, food spots, and main routes. You can check in, get some sleep, and be back on the road without complications 🚗. This hotel doesn’t try to impress. It serves its purpose — a simple, no-frills place to rest between destinations.
