Residence Inn by Marriott Potomac Mills Woodbridge

Would not recommend due to *not mine or my husbands hair in the sheets & on the bedside table, I’m still trying not to think too much about that lol *bed was terribly uncomfortable/lumpy, when my husband got in on his side the mattress bowed *my 13yo “slept” on the pull out couch bed. Just kidding, how could he sleep w a bar in his back all nite *comp bfast was unedible This hotel location & coffee was good, but that was pretty much the only positive I could think of.

We booked a room at this hotel through Expedia. The room was confirmed. After a long day of helping my father-in-law move into assisted living, we showed up at 9:00 PM exhausted. However, the Residence Inn told me they were overbooked and they did not have our RESERVED room for us. We had to leave and go find another hotel room late at night. They told me they would refund to my Expedia account, but as I checked the next morning, they had not done so nor had Expedia heard anything about it. I spent a long time on the phone Expedia trying to get my money refunded. This was an awful experience and I think it’s an awful hotel. Please don’t take a risk when you’re traveling.

Very clean, good breakfast w gluten free options, and a pleasant front desk. Liked additional space compared to either Spring Hill Suites or other Marriott properties. Quiet area w easy parking. Plenty of shopping nearby, avoiding much of the DC traffic mess, and close to cheaper gas and other things assiciated w Costco

The people make a fine hotel into a great experience. We were guests for 30 days, and the crew was really nice and interactive. Good location, decent amenities. The breakfast is a good, standard hot breakfast. The evening manager’s reception was also nice enough to make a meal out of, or at least to augment your own food...and we met more nice people during those events. Delivery food is also very easily available at this location. I would choose it again- in fact I did! We stayed there when we relocated out of the area several years ago, and I chose it for our return relocation as well.

After a long day helping my father-in-law move into assisted-living, the last thing we wanted to hear was that the Residence Inn would not honor the reservation we had made through Expedia. Yep, you heard that right. We made a reservation through Expedia, showed up at 9:00 PM and they would not honor the reservation. My wife and I had to wander out and look for another hotel room late at night. The Residence Inn promised me they would contact Expedia to refund our money. However, as of the next morning, they had not done so, so I spent quite a bit of time on the phone this morning with Expedia convincing them that the Residence Inn did not honor my reservation. I asked for the Residence Inn (through Expedia) to compensate us in some way - perhaps some Marriott points? (It’s pretty awful
