Prince William Forest RV Campground

Nicely maintained and updated campground. Pull through site was easy to get in and out of. Sites are small but served the purpose we needed it for. Pool is clean and a decent size. Easy to reserve site and the service was friendly. Traffic from busy street is a bit loud in the evening, but the other campers were very quiet. Would definitely come back.

This is a National Park campground in a beautiful woods location. It has lots of shade to keep it cooler. The sites are on a hillside so RVs need to be prepared for the need for significant leveling front to back. The rv pads are all paved but close together. It was quiet at night. Our grandson enjoyed the swimming pool.

This campground is adjacent to Prince Wm Forest Park. It is not run by the park service but is a concessionaire of theirs. They do offer a Good Sam discount but even with the discount the price was outrageous imho; $67 with tax and discount for one night during the off season. ||||This was the maiden voyage for our new 41' fifth wheel so we wanted to stay near where we lived while we tried everything out but won't be staying there again or recommend it to anyone.||||The two employees we encountered were nice, however, interaction was less than about six minutes total. I was told on the phone you have to call to make reservations, they don't do anything online. ||||The good: it was quiet but then we shared our whole row with two other trailers. 45min to 1 hr from all the main spots in D.C. Very quiet nice campground. All employees have been very friendly. They will allow campers longer than 35 ft but it is tight if you are at or longer. Nice pool, it did break while we were there(obviously not their fault.) I do always think though that when something like this happens there should be something returned monetarily etc but I have yet to have that happen. Other than that I would recommend camping here.

We arrived at the RV Park. In so disappointed. Our 29'11" trailer barely fits in the space. Our Awning to trail is in the pull through road and the tongue if the trailer is almost in the road. There is no place at the site to park our towing vehicle except right beside the trailer. If we do that, we cannot open the awning, nor can we sit outside any where except the 5 sf of space between our site and the one next to us. I was seriously looking forward to return to Prince William Forest after having camped here as young Girl Scout. This campground is a disgrace to the image. This is beyond horrible. Be assured I'll spread the word and we will never return.
