Motel 6 Dumfries, VA

I stayed at Motel 6 - Dumfries for about 2½ weeks while house hunting. The price was reasonable and my reservations were fine initially. However, my experience with a front desk employee was very disappointing. During my stay, I was wrongly accused of pulling a knife on another guest, which I strongly dispute. Later, I was told I was placed on a “no rent” list for allegedly smoking in a non-smoking room from over a week prior. I did not smoke in that room, and it already smelled of stale smoke when I checked in. I communicated that to the employee and she didn’t want to hear what I had to say. Being accused without warning or proper discussion is upsetting and unprofessional. Guests deserve fair treatment before serious decisions like blacklisting are made.

Positive: It's off 95 Negative: I stay here on the regular and it is slowly going bad. The water is warm not hot and the housekeeping haven't been cleaning the rooms well. Sad to say, but the owner is never around and there is no manager.

I really like staying at this motel. It's a good deal for the money. I recommend staying here. Please see Ricarda. She will take great care of you.

For what it is being a motel 6.. This hotel was quite nice and actually clean, drama free, and in a good location for the city. It's also pretty quiet too. The employees I encountered were all very pleasant. Seeinf that we booked on the weekend too, there wasn't noise or loud music going on.just generally a peaceful environment. The office was also quite nice with plenty of pamplets of things to do in the area. Also to mention that there is a lot of food places nearby. From fast food to restaurants. Also the new casino is close by If you wanted to give that a visit. They have a fitness area too. The king toom was very spacious to my surprise. It had two desks with one of them even having a rolling computer chair.

The check in process was speedy, the clerk was very accommodating. The room was very clean and inviting. The cable TV works, there's no delay or glitches. And it's a smart TV as well. It's right next to 7eleven and the waffle house so there's good options to eat, and also an additional gas station. I've always enjoyed how quiet it is every time I come here.
