Portland Regency Hotel & Spa

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend and overall had a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our time in the spa area. The steam sauna was absolutely amazing, especially with the option to use essential oils it made the experience very relaxing and special. There was also a jacuzzi and traditional saunas available. We didn’t end up using the jacuzzi much, as the water felt a bit too cool for our taste and wasn’t as enjoyable as we expected. The bathroom products provided by the hotel were of very high quality, which we really appreciated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and the valet parking staff were very helpful and professional. The only downside during our stay was the sound insulation. We had stayed at the Regency a couple of other times but this stay, we got a promotional special (breakfast and parking included) this winter. The hotel continues to be lovely and our room (downstairs) was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and large as well. The staff was helpful, polite and courteous. We were disappointed that the Whiskey bar was closed while we were staying. If you eat breakfast, be ready for a long wait. The host and server were polite, but it took a very long time (both days) for breakfast to arrive. The food was delicious (malted pancakes with blueberries mixed in and the eggs Benedict). One of the most beautiful hotels you will ever stay at. Perfectly located in downtown Portland. The bar is cozy and has a great atmosphere. I only stay here when I visit Portland. This hotel has the same vibe/feeling as downtown Portland. There isn't a better place to stay.

Great location. Comfortable quiet rooms. Ran into several glitches due to new front desk staffing, but feel I was heard when I brought to managements attention. Overnight hotel stays on Christmas can be challenging. Spa was very very good and reservations easy to make online ahead of stay. Valet parking helpful, esp in winter weather!
