Pros: Excellent location Rooms are clean Beds are comfortable Front desk staff is friendly and kind Cons: I'm not certain what I paid for... every piece if furniture was about 1 lb. Cheap, not study. A dining room table leg was broken. You had to hold down the lid of the coffee pot while it brewed because it wouldn't stay closed. The room had a TV on but no remote, I asked 3 times (giving at least 12 hours between requests, because I didn't want to be impatient) before they finally got a remote to us. My one year old opened the drawer on the side table and because it was so lightweight, it fell over and hit his shoulder. Also, if you are sensitive to this at all- EVERYTHING is scented. I love the Placemakr and would 100% recommend it to anyone staying in the Ballston Area. ||For the quality and price, it is hard to beat in the area. The room layouts are spacious with a full kitchen layout and living room. It felt like home away from home.||You can walk to Starbucks and many restaurants. 10/10 for walkability. ||As a note, housekeeping was not a daily occurence but not a big deal for me. We stayed about 3 days.|| Also major shout out to Derrick and Nikia for making the stay super pleasant.

We stayed here Christmas night and the next day and this place is a great location in Arlington, steps away from a Starbucks. However, we felt like we stayed in a college dorm. The place/room looked nothing like the website pictures. There were no decorative pillows or wall pictures, but it was clean. The coffee maker didn’t work, so it was good there was coffee in waking distance. We heated up food, so the kitchen was convenient! A short supply of wall outlets made things strategic and 2 of lower outlets didn’t work at all. The bed must have come straight from IKEA, not suitable for anyone over 6 feet tall and pushed against a wall made it almost claustrophobic. Paper thin blinds next to a building with blaring fluorescent light on every floor. How does a hotel in the middle of a city not have blackout curtains. Enjoyed the 3 hours of sleep I got per night in a decent room. Don’t recommend

I stayed here (Jan 9-10) expecting the strict "quiet & non-smoking" environment they advertise. Instead, my night was ruined by neighbors PARTYING and SMOKING on the balcony, waking me up at 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Security failed to control the situation. The worst part was the management. After checkout, they ignored my emails for 11 days. They only agreed to a refund after I rejected a worthless voucher and threatened a credit card dispute. The hardware is fine, but if you have a safety or noise issue, you are completely on your own. Avoid if you value sleep.
