Pasadena Hotel & Pool

This is an amazing hotel, beautiful place to sleep with great people, fun atmosphere, peaceful!!!!! So very peaceful and did I mention peaceful..great! Rooms in all honesty need to lose the carpet completely and go with a laminate of sorts, wood or marble look to remove the odor from pool to room which is understandable 🤔 when its so widely used, but im sure nobody was thinking when it was built that wet feet and carpet would be a task to keep up with you know. But besides that, the rooms are excellent, if you have allergies bad avoid it, if not this is the place to be, Great parking if you don't mind underground parking in CA, if you drink responsibly and love gathering with class & sophistication, then this is a good option, they have a great bar 🍸 friendly bar staff. Hotel Room was super small. You have to request housekeeping, or they won't do it. No complimentary coffee in room. Hotel does not have a business center. Hotel charges a mandatory facility fee of $13 per day for the pool, even if you don't use it. Hotel parking is $29 per day. The added taxes exceeded my allowed itemizations on my expense report. All the additional fees and add-ons took away some of the fun of staying at an iconic hotel. Neighborhood is great, very friendly and walkable, even at night. I enjoyed my stay despite the tiny room and the extra charges.

Hotel is in a great location. Close to tons of restaurants right off Lake St. Hotel lobby has a nice vibe and decent bar. Front desk is pretty responsive and friendly. Biggest downside is most of these rooms are designed for ONE person. The room we stayed in had no dedicated bathroom. Meaning that the shower and toilet were RIGHT next to the bed. So no privacy whatsoever. Never stayed in a hotel room designed this way. No coffee makers in the room or even glasses. Just two paper cups. You can hear noise in the hallway and the doors slam shut. Really great when guests in the adjacent room are coming and going at 5am. The “balcony” rooms are so narrow you can barely fit two people out there STANDING. This hotel is great if you’re alone and don’t plan on spending any time in your room.

Positive: Excellent location. Lovely lobby and courtyard. Great shower. Negative: Room is very small but clean. Room facing street was very noisy overnight. Did not like the additional daily “resort fee” charged by hotel. There is no complementary coffee offered in room or lobby.

I am a retired executive sales person. I have stayed at all the good and great hotels all over this country. On a recent visit to family I stayed at Pasadena hotel and pool. First the staff; Eric and Andrew were understanding, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and just plain great. The room; spectacular, no exaggeration. If I ever find myself within 50 miles of this hotel I will book it. Quality and service are part of their culture. If you are in Pasadena do yourself a favor and stay there. Stephen Barone
