Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites

Another absolutely wonderful stay at the Best Western Royal Inn & Suites! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly and made to feel genuinely welcome. Hugo—truly a GM in the making—made check-out effortless and kindly accommodated a late check-out, which I sincerely appreciated. The rooms are clean, quiet, and very affordable. From management to housekeeping, Jo and her entire team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this property!

This is a better-than-average Best Western. Typical layout, with a clean, working fridge and microwave. The room was clean and comfy, with fresh towels and linens. The front desk was smiling and friendly, both on check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet was hot, plentiful, and fully-stocked to their 9:30 stop time; I particulary liked the waffle-maker. There is an elevator and luggage carts for easier unloading. We had a lovely stay. The only glitch was someone's car alarm going off during the night; it was windy, and that sort of thing is beyond the control of the hotel, anyway. I recommend this place without reservation.

Positive: The king bed suite with sofa bed was roomy and nice. Staff was nice and very helpful. They are the best staff I've encountered so far at any hotel in Pasadena. Negative: The breakfast could have been better. For some reason they have no potatoes and coffee is bland and weak. Breakfast time should be extended to 10 or 10:30 am.

I want to thank Eric (overnight shift) and Hugo (working in the morning), both of whom helped me with an issue. Particularly Eric, who took some steps to ensure that my stay was a positive one. Eric provided great service regarding an issue that was out of his control. And he still stepped up. Thank you to the hotel staff.

What a disappointment! This place just did NOT measure up to the Best Western standards we are used to. The front desk clerk at check-in was indifferent, acting like she really did not want to be bothered. She did NOT make us feel welcome. She also told us check out was at 12 noon. Then the next day, we were called at 10:30am asking if we'd be checking out by 11am at the check out time. If we weren't out by 11:00, they would charge us extra. It would have been nice if their employees gave out the correct information. The bed in the room was comfortable. However, it was hard to sleep as the people in the room next door were in and out of their room, and slamming car doors and driving in and out all night. Drug deals? Escorts? Something shady seemed to be going on. Breakfast was
