Ocean Breeze Lodge

The place was amazing. The lady who ran it was amazing. It's a really good rate considering the motel 6 is $30 more expensive than the room we got. The only bad thing was the wifi signal wasn't strong enough to really reach our room. But everything else was good. It only had a shower and no tub so there's that. Also she doesn't take credit cards. Which I don't mind. It's cash only.

You can see from the number of TA reviews that not many folks know about this quiet gem. My wife and I stayed here one night on our travels down the California coast, and were happy we did. There are a limited number of rooms, all conveniently located on the ground level, on a property set back far enough from the noisy road (rte 1). Linda, the manager, is just an amazing, helpful hostess, providing information re: Ft Bragg and recommended attractions and restaurants. The room we had was very large, with a comfortable queen bed, and adequate bathroom with toiletries provided. There is a dorm-size frig, microwave, and the Wifi signal was strong. The place was awesome. The owner Linda||was a precious gem for 2 tired travelers. This was a older motel but was updated. It sits just off the main road but was very peaceful and quite. One level so getting into your room was very easy, you parked very close by. The beds were the best we've slept on. This made our 9th night traveling. We arrived later than expected but she was waiting for us with a smile. ||She only accepts cash. Our room had a full size coffee pot with plenty of coffee. The shower was small but clean. The room had 2 queen beds with a little table and chairs for 2 to comfortably sit. Plenty of room. This is a must stay for any one wanting the simplesty of a by gone era.....

We stayed the night and then decided to stay one more night. The owner Linda was as pleasant and helpful as possible. she called and got beach info for us and let us choose which of the three open rooms would work for us. Our room had a nice cabinet along one wall just perfect for suitcases to be out of the way, two double beds, microwave, refrigerator, desk, larger flat screen TV and small table for coffee. It got quiet at night and was centrally located in town. They only take cash but the prices are very reasonable

We stayed for our anniversary and it was perfect. Our budget was small and we got more then we were expecting for the price. The staff was so nice and rooms were very clean. Lots of coffee in room so not needing to ask for more was a plus. We plan on staying with them again soon.
