Motel 6 Portland, ME

Came up in a snowstorm & had to stop somewhere because the roads were real dicey. Wasn’t expecting much for the price I paid but I feel like clean bedding is #1 priority in a hotel. Made it 10 minutes before walking out of here. Went to the first room , sheets literally looked like someone peed the bed. I checked the bed itself for bugs and it did not have any bugs. But the sheets were a crime scene. I ask for the sheets to be changed or a new room & the front desk associate gave us a new room. Second room, sheets weren’t a crime scene but there were obvious stains and hair on the bed, showing they haven’t been changed. I left and am disputing the charge on my card. Leaving a photo of the stain in the second room, not nearly as bad as the first. Went down the road and paid a little more f

I just needed a place to sleep. It was the best rate. Im out of town on work and its affordable. I a good location. Diane was very helpful getting me around the area. Rooms were clean. Not sure about the negative reviews here. I stay here often. I felt safe and it doesn't break the bank.

29F Solo, felt safe. Unlike other reviews, I didn't encounter any issues staying here. The room was clean, with hard floors, and the bed was comfortable. AC in room that you can set to your preferred setting. Large TV. Only thing missing was a fridge and microwave but that's not a big deal for one night, especially with a microwave being available for use at the front desk. Breakfast would have been great but only coffee was provided. Plenty of parking and conveniently located close to Portland. Plenty of food options around. Check in and out was easy. The hotel was quiet and I got some great sleep.

The staff here has been super friendly and accommodating to our family. The beds are decent and the rooms are warm! Nice hot showers. Its affordable and they allow pets!

Absolutely disgusting. Way over priced. I checked in, and as soon as I walked away from the front desk and went to my room I noticed how bad it was. The building reeks of mold. I didn’t feel safe at all. We immediately went back downstairs and checked out and asked for a refund. The customer service and I contacted Expedia who I booked through through. Expedia said the motel would have to do the refund. Customer representative at the motel said they can’t that it’s Expedia that does it- and said the manager would be back on Monday and then said the manager can do the refund then. Well, Monday came and they declined to do the refund! Please avoid this motel at all costs.
