Motel 6 Carlisle, PA - Cumberland Valley

By far one of the nicest places I've been to. The location is convenient and the atmosphere was great. The rooms itself were amazing and even included water and popcorn which is a nice touch. Cleanliness was top notch and no complaints there. Would definitely stay again on my next road trip.

Stopped here during a road trip, having used budget motels before I was bracing for the worst but it was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are modernized and the bed was comfortable. Clean sheets and towels. The room itself was a little dirty around the bathroom vanity but nothing excessive. Front desk staff are extremely helpful, I needed a hair dryer and they were able to run one down quickly. Will definitely be staying here again on future road trips!

I can't rate this hotel poor, although my experience was, because they are trying to bring it back from the brink but you cannot ignore the bathtub I had that could have been cleaner but more that it looked like someone had repaired it with a sledge hammer. But, it was the bottom bed sheet that had brown stains that I didn't notice until morning that bothered me most. Then while the evening desk clerk was very pleasant, the grouch there in the morning was not a pleasant send-off.

Great location of highway. NO BUGS which is tough to find in this area of Carlisle. The room was nice. The light behind the headboard was a nice touch along with the 2 bottles of water and popcorn. The bed was ok, but the blankets were thin. A nice size fridge with an actual freezer was great. The trim and the bathroom door really needs to be painted. They all look beat up pretty bad. The bathroom hardware was loose in the shower. The enclosure was pretty beat up too. The plug in air freshener was nice but too strong. Took it out but immediately smelled cigarettes from the adjoining it room. Very weird. We'd definitely stay here again. Glad it was a good stay.

Our stay was very pleasant. We do a lot of traveling and typically stay in The Motel 6 chain as we travel with our pet. I have to say that this Motel 6 stands high above many of the others we have stayed in for cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and overall comfort. Many touches made the difference such as a mat in the front of the door to wipe your feet, bottled water, hooks on the bathroom doors, and even shampoo! But mostly it was the comfort of the room that made the difference. We will definitely stay here again on our travels.
